Single Moms

We are getting ready for one of our very favorite events of the year...our 9th annual Single Moms Spa Day.

Free Hair-cuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, refreshments, activities for children, school supplies, and more to make this day special for single mothers caring for minor children, Sunday, August 25, 2-6pm. 

I love this event. I have never been a single mom, but my heart is so tender toward them. I know that raising a child alone can be demanding and difficult. Heck, raising a child with a spouse is demanding and difficult, doing it alone is surely hard. 

We like to take at least one day every year to really pamper these ladies. We serve delicious refreshments, beautifully set out. We give them little gifts. We provide fun activities for their children. We collect nice, gently used clothing to offer them, as well as a day of pampering. This year, we are adding school supplies. Maybe God will provide other services or products for them...

  It is such a joy to see these women walk out at the end of the day with big smiles. 

I hope that this day lets them know that we love them, and we care about their needs.
