                                Do you long to be loved unconditionally—to be able to share who you are                                           without masks or pretense?                   

Deep within, your heart does. God created us for close, heart connection kind of relationships. As human beings, we want to be truly known, really understood, to be valued, and to be connected.

The Bible tells us to love one another, accept one another, to cry together and laugh together, to bear each other’s burdens, to encourage and exhort each other. That kind of life takes time and effort to develop, but it is so worth it. We can be healthy emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, as we live in true community.

Life together as co-workers: Pamela Moore

Pamela Moore was born near London, and became a committed Christian at age 21. In 1968 she joined the mission of Brother Andrew, “God’s Smuggler,” a Dutchman who transported Bibles into Eastern Europe and other communist lands. In 1976 Pam became traveling companion and aide to Corrie ten Boom, the Dutch Christian who was incarcerated in a Nazi prison camp. Pam assisted Miss ten Boom until her death in 1983.
She has much to share from experiences working in ministry with these great Christians.

 
                               

                                   Life together as friends: Katy Davis

Katy grew up in Stephenville, but was truly raised at Cottonwood. She married her high school sweetheart and moved to the city in 2006. Since then she has had the privilege of working at Gateway Church in Southlake, and now stays home with her daughter, Nora.

Katy will share some principles concerning healthy friendships. The lessons she learned have come from real experiences, trial and error, relational victories and friendship breakups. After a difficult friendship as an adult, Katy started on a journey to learn what healthy friendships look like and how to live that out.

Life together in the church: Jeannette Maxwell

Jeannette has been the Women’s Minister at Cottonwood Church since 1998. She is passionate about following Jesus and encouraging women to pursue Him. She believes that the church is a place to experience meaningful, healthy, encouraging relationships.

She and her husband, Les, have been active and serving in churches since their marriage and treasure the have close relationships developed during those years.

 Come prepared to have a great time, to laugh and have fun, to enjoy and participate in exciting, uplifting music, and, most of all, to hear from God.

 Since God has designed us to live in relationship, and that’s what the retreat is all about, come ready to make new friends and connect with women who will inspire and encourage you. Invite your friends to be part of this weekend of fellowship and teaching in a warm, accepting environment.
